In February of 1998, a new tradition was born: the Theta Sound Coffee House. Studio founder, Randall Michael Tobin, created the Coffee House series as a way of promoting Theta Sound’s client/artists (and friends of those artists) and the albums they recorded here. In addition to the Coffee House format, Theta Sound has also hosted Private Sessions where an artist/band has invited a special group of people, and then recorded the album live in front of that audience. This approach has made for some really “electric” recordings and that magic comes through in the finished album.
